Uprooted utilies simplistic art to explore a complex topic. The dynamics of the "immigrant family in America" is flipped on its head with a return to Chia. It explores the struglle of children of immigrants struggle to connect with their ethnicity, still, at the same time, Uprooted maintains a light and child-like atmosphere.
