Starry River of the Sky

The book is about a boy who runs away from his family because they are cruel to him. He gets on a merchant cart and escapes to a village called Clear Sky. This village has no moon. He becomes a chore boy for an inn, and after a while, he starts to have a good time there and finds out why the moon is missing.

This book is about how even though some people can be mean, they usually have a problem that makes them that way. When you begin to know them, they can become your friend. I recommend this book to readers who like Grace Lin's books.
