Room to Dream

The book is about a girl named Mia who works in a hotel owned by her family called Calvista. She has two friends Lupe and Jason. One day, she wrote a story about her life. Her grandfather and Mia went to a publishing place. The editor said she should rewrite her story so it can be published in a Chinese Newspaper. Her first writing received good reviews but her 2nd writing did not get good feedback. She was discouraged but she kept improving herself. She pursued her dream to be a writer. At the same time, her family hotel business was going through hardship. There was another big hotel near theirs taking business away. To prove their hotel is clean, they got the inspector to check their hotel and the inspector found it to be very clean. while the other hotel, Magma, failed inspection. The news got out that " Small hotel Calvista beats Magma in cleanness". Later, Calvista's business revived and Mia's family was happy again. The book was about the hardship that an immigrant family went through but through hard work, they found ways to turn around a bad situation. It's a heartwarming, inspiring, and encouraging book and I enjoyed reading it very much.
