Niing and the Night Spirits

The book is about a boy named Ning. He was shy and didn't know how to speak to others or how to make friends. He felt sad and lonely. He heard scary stories about ghosts and spirits. One night, he walked into the woods and met a friendly " spirit ". The friendly spirit introduced him to many unusual animals. They had a good time. The spirit told Ning that they were frightened by people and their orange lanterns. Ning wanted to bring people to be friendly toward the spirits and to make peace. Ning was successful and became a friendly boy who can speak up and bring people together.

I learned that we have to listen to different people's ideas. We have to be brave and talk to all kinds of people. Don't be afraid to speak up and make friends. I like the little boy Ning in the book. The illustrations in the book are very creative and interesting. I liked the friendly blue spirit who is not scary at all.
