My Day with Gong Gong

Sennah Yee

A little girl, May, was to spend a day with her grandpa. Gong Gong in Chinese means mother's father.
May's Gong Gong lives in Chinatown and speaks Chinese, but May can not speak Chinese. She was bored and hungry, walking around Chinatown with her Gong Gong, but he had to make many stops. The store owners seemed to laugh at her, and she was starting to get angry. But then Gong Gong showed her the delicious food he got for her and a gift!

I enjoyed reading the story because I have two grandpas, Gong Gong and Yeh Yeh. Yeh Yeh means my father's father. Luckily, both my Gong and Gong and Yeh Yeh speak good English, and I don't have a problem understanding them.
